This was my first sculpture
carved in wood. I had picked up the log from a tree they cut down on the
Daemen school grounds, I had a feeling I could do something with it. Later
(the next semester), when I started my sculpture II class, our first assignment
to my surprise, was to find a large piece of wood! I spent the entire
semester, many weekends and many evenings pounding away at that piece
until it turned into the piece you see here. You can see that I've never
been afraid of a challenge!
